Hyatt Regency Danang: 2 Nights with Regency Club Access (A Honest Family Review)
We spent two nights in Danang from April 3 to April 5, 2026, and stayed at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort. I’d heard that booking a room with Regency Club access makes the trip so much easier when you’re traveling with kids, so that’s exactly what we went with.
Here’s the full breakdown of our stay, what was worth it, and what to watch out for.
Our Booking Details
We’re a family of five, so we booked two rooms per night for two nights — four room-nights in total.
- Room type: Ocean View Twin Room (with Regency Club access)
- Price: 9,200,000 VND per room, per night (about 530,000 KRW / roughly $360 USD)
So yes — it was expensive. But the short version? It was pricey, but absolutely worth visiting at least once.

The Regency Club: The Best Part of the Stay
If there’s one thing I’d recommend for families, it’s the Regency Club access. Here’s everything it included.
Breakfast in the Club Lounge
You can have breakfast right in the Regency Club lounge. The menu is smaller than the main breakfast buffet, but there was still plenty worth eating — eggs Benedict, Vietnamese pho, fresh mango, and more. It was more than enough for us.
All-Day Snacks and Drinks
After breakfast, we could pop back in throughout the day to grab canned drinks whenever we wanted.

Evening Finger Food and Cocktails
From 5:00 PM, the lounge served finger food and alcohol — beer, cocktails, and one or two whiskey options. The selection wasn’t huge, but there was always something filling, like chicken nuggets or fish & chips, with a different item rotating in each day.
The Bakery Was Outstanding
I have to call this out separately: the cakes, pies, and bakery items in the lounge were genuinely excellent. A real highlight.
One Downside
The evening spread wrapped up at 7:00 PM, which felt a little early. We got a bit peckish later in the night, so we ended up ordering delivery to the room.
The Pools: Beautiful in Photos, Not So Much in Person
The resort has four or five pools scattered around the property, but they didn’t quite work for us.
- The main pool near the lobby looks gorgeous in photos, but the water quality wasn’t great in person — I didn’t really want to get in.
- The kids’ pool was 1.2 meters deep, which was honestly too deep for younger children. The slide pool was the same.
Our kids are 10 and 5, and both of them found the pools too deep and a bit scary.

The Private Beach Saved the Day
Instead, we walked about 10 minutes to the resort’s private beach — and this was a hit. There were waves, but the water was shallow enough that the kids could play happily.
One important warning: even in early April, there were jellyfish, and we got stung. If you plan to swim in the sea, I’d strongly recommend wearing a long-sleeve, long-pant swimsuit (rash guard) for protection.
The Gym
There is a gym, but it’s small and doesn’t have a beach view, so we ended up skipping our workouts entirely.
A Sweet Birthday Touch
We took this trip to celebrate my mom’s birthday. The dates didn’t line up exactly with her birthday, but when I mentioned during booking that it was a special occasion, the hotel surprised us with a small cake and drinks. My mom was so happy — a lovely little touch.

Final Thoughts: Worth It Once
If you’re heading to Danang for a budget-friendly Vietnam trip, this resort is definitely on the pricier side. But I’d always wanted to experience a Hyatt, and the Regency Club access made it a fantastic staycation with the kids.

To come back, we’d have to save up quite a bit — so honestly, I think once was enough to feel satisfied. Still, it was a wonderful trip, and one I’m really glad we took.
