🏡 Booking & Room Upgrade Experience

We initially booked the cheapest deluxe room via the official website (2 rooms for a family of 5).

After arrival, we upgraded on-site to a villa with a private pool for $260 (3 nights) because the kids really wanted to swim.

Interestingly:

2BR villas were fully booked
We were upgraded to a 3BR villa (Ocean View)
One room remained locked (so effectively used as 2BR)

👉 2BR = Garden View
👉 3BR = Ocean View

So this upgrade felt like a great deal (though normally 3BR would be much more expensive).

🛏️ Room Structure & Choice

3BR Villa Layout:

1st Floor: Main Room (King Bed) + Living Room + Pool
2nd Floor: Master Room (King Bed) + Twin Room

We had two options:

Use both rooms on the 2nd floor
Or split between 1st & 2nd floor

👉 We chose:

1st Floor King Bed + 2nd Floor Master Room

Why?

Traveling with a 70-year-old grandmother and a 4-year-old child
Stairs after swimming felt unsafe

✔️ Result: Best decision

The king bed on the 1st floor was huge (almost extra king)
3 people slept comfortably
We spent most of the day downstairs and only went upstairs to sleep

🚗 Transportation (Buggy Service)

Room assigned: Villa 8511
Always used buggy service to go to the lobby for meals

Key points:

FREE buggy service
Arrival time: within 10–15 minutes (even during peak meal hours)
Travel time to lobby: under 2 minutes

🍽️ Breakfast & Dinner Review

🥐 Breakfast

Very satisfying and diverse:

Pho (different daily: chicken, tomato-based, etc.)
Banh mi
Fried eggs
Yogurt & fruits
Pudding

✔️ Great for kids (even those who don’t eat cilantro)

Highlight:

Fresh Vietnamese coffee (custom-made)
- Black coffee with foam (coffee + sugar)
- Condensed milk coffee

👉 Even our 4-year-old ate well every morning

🍽️ Dinner

Excellent main dishes:

Seafood: smoked salmon, snapper, sea bass steak
Meat: grilled chicken, roasted suckling pig, marinated beef
Pho always available
Fruits: dragon fruit, apple, jackfruit chips

Drinks:

Not included (~100,000 VND)
We mostly ordered drinks + tried local beer once

🔥 Must-try: Coconut gelato (only available at dinner)

👉 Highly recommended

Overall Food Experience

Buffet for 3 days → expected to get bored ❌
Reality → menu changes daily ✔️

🐜 Minor Issue (Insects)

Occasionally saw tiny white termite-like bugs on the bed
Reported to concierge (no real solution offered)

✔️ No bites or allergies
✔️ No issues indoors if doors were closed

Only saw geckos outside

👉 Cleanliness overall was fine

💰 Value for Money

Approx. KRW 700,000 per night included:

Meals for 5 people
Private pool villa
Theme park access

👉 Very good value

Comparison:

Hyatt Regency Danang: ~KRW 1,000,000/night (2BR ocean view, breakfast only)

⚠️ Cons

About 50 minutes by taxi to Hoi An Old Town

👉 If you plan frequent Old Town visits, consider staying closer

💆 Spa Experience

We used hotel credits (total 3,000,000 VND)

Treatments:

Aroma Massage (90 min / 1,900,000 VND) → credit usable
Thai Massage (90 min / 2,100,000 VND) → credit NOT usable (20% discount instead)

👉 Massage quality similar to cheaper Old Town massages
👉 Did only once

Used at An Restaurant in the lobby
