Ba Na Hills: Must-See Spots by Zone & Recommended Visiting Times
1. B2 Zone – Golden Bridge + Buddha Statue
This is the most crowded area starting from 8 AM.
If you’re staying at the French Village:
- Cable cars from Louvre Station start at 6:00 AM (every 30 minutes)
- From 8:00 AM, they run continuously
✔️ Best Time to Visit
- ⭐ Best: 6:00–7:00 AM (almost no crowds)
- ⭐ Alternative: After 4:00 PM (crowds start to thin out)
From 8:00 AM onward:
- It’s not impossible to move around
- But crowds fill more than half the walkway, so walking becomes slow
✔️ Hidden Spot (Highly Recommended)
Don’t just visit the Golden Bridge!
- About a 20-minute walk leads to a large Buddha statue
- It feels more detailed and impressive than Linh Ung Pagoda on Son Tra Peninsula
Highlights:
- The statue looks down at visitors from every angle
- A very powerful and photogenic spot
👉 Strongly recommend visiting both the Golden Bridge AND the Buddha statue together
2. Fantasy Park (+ Alpine Coaster)
The Alpine Coaster starts getting crowded around 10 AM
Other rides are generally less busy.
✔️ Height Restrictions
- If your child is under 140 cm, there are limited rides available
- Around 130–139 cm, only a few rides are allowed
(e.g., a vertical drop ride) - Alpine Coaster:
- ❌ Under 100 cm: Not allowed
- ✔️ Above 100 cm: Can ride
👉 My youngest was 98 cm and couldn’t ride anything
✔️ Alpine Coaster Tips
- 1 ride: 100,000 VND
- 2+ rides: ~70,000 VND each (discounted)
👉 If there’s no queue:
- Buy multiple rides upfront
- It’s fun, and there are 3 coaster tracks nearby, so you’ll likely want to try them all
⚠️ But:
- If tour groups arrive suddenly
- Wait time can increase to 30–60 minutes
👉 Always check the queue first before deciding
✔️ Bonus Spot (Great for Kids)
There’s a Jurassic Park–style attraction inside Fantasy Park
- Takes about 10 minutes per visit
- Dinosaurs move at certain times
👉 Kids love it
👉 We went in 3 times
3. French Village – Pop Mart & Fountain Square (Night Walk)
At night, this area becomes:
- Cooler
- Much quieter
- Feels like you’re in Europe
✔️ Pros
- Beautiful lighting
- Great for photos
- Peaceful atmosphere for a night walk
✔️ Cons
- Prices are higher (since it’s on top of a mountain)
👉 Recommendation:
- Stay overnight
- Enjoy a relaxed night stroll and photo time
Highly recommended for couples & families
